For those that prefer the deeper shades of deep purple, maroon, and a contrasting splash of green-flamed white, all in perfect harmony, then look no further. A stunning and award winning assortment of tulips that are sure to draw attention to themselves in patio pots, borders and interior displays.

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Spring Green': An elegant tulip with broad, white, slightly feathered petals, each with a bright green central band. Perfect for a sunny, well-drained border where it will brighten up a spring day or for planting in pots on the patio. It looks particularly lovely teamed with silver foliaged plants or with other tulips, especially the dark plum-coloured varieties like 'Black Hero'. Grows to 50cm.

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Ronaldo': Rich, deep maroon-purple flowers with lovely coloured veining make this a spectacular tulip for spring bedding displays. The petals have a rounded shape with pointed tips and have a smoky sheen and silky texture. Grows to 40cm.

  • 10 × Tulipa 'Negrita': This snub-nosed deep purple tulip with beetroot-purple veins and a satin finish is bound to draw attention. They look stunning planted en masse but are equally good planted next to softer pastel shades. They have strong stems and large flowers and are quite adept at coping with erratic spring weather. Grows to 50cm.

  • Garden care: In September to December plant bulbs 15-20cm deep and 10-15cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Alternatively, allow 7-9 bulbs per 30cm sq. After flowering deadhead and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser each week for the first month. Once the foliage has died down naturally lift the bulbs and store in a cool greenhouse.
    • Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen; Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
