This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

First discovered in a garden in Northern France, the flowers of this beautiful variety are pure white with a green hood. These appear on the tall, upright flowerspikes throughout the summer above large and handsome foliage. A wonderful addition to the border where they will add vertical interest to the planting scheme. They are easy to grow and relatively undemanding in well-drained soils. - Garden care: To minimise the risk of powdery mildew taking hold ensure that the plant is watered well during hot, dry spells.To rejuvenate and minimise congestion, lift and divide large clumps in autumn or spring.
