This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  A sensational new broad-leaf type verbena producing hairy, dark grey-green foliage smothered in velvety dark purple flowers. Often grown as a superior annual, ‘Showboat Burgundy’ is a stunning addition to pots and baskets, or even at the front of a border. This mounded, spreading tender perennial stays lush and healthy in all weather and has excellent mildew resistance.
