Juniperus × pfitzeriana 'Old Gold'
juniper
- Position: full sun
- Soil: any well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Hardiness: fully hardy
Spreading stems are clothed in bronze-flushed yellow foliage, which holds its colour well throughout the year. Ideal to use as a specimen plant, it will form an impressive, flat-topped shrub that looks great when planted with rounded and more upright conifers. - Garden care: Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
- Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen
